Earplug Speakers
A common misconception is that wearing earplugs does not allow you to hear environmental sounds when riding. That it is not safe.
Sure you would like to listen to music when in a noisy environment, but the background noise interferes with your reception of the music. So you find yourself turning up the volume (or getting an amplifier device) to overcome the background noise. Now you have all that background noise, plus the music at an even higher level going into your ears. Wind noise can damage your hearing permanently, and adding the loud music to that will be even more detrimental. Wind noise will mask environmental sounds and with the addition of loud music to it, environmental sounds will be even less audible. Go the opposite direction: plug up your ears, and pipe in the music so you can turn the volume down. Earplug Speakers will allow you to hear the audio louder and clearer, and the necessary ambient sounds (traffic, car horns, sirens, etc.) better.
